What is Green Tea?
Green Tea is a unfermented tea that has not undergone the oxidation process used in preparing black tea. Green tea is slowly roasted, pan fried or steamed to dry out the tea leaves before they get a chance to ferment and oxidize.
Green Tea comes from china originally and is made purely with the leaves of Camellia sinensis.
Green Tea has recently been the focus of many scientific / medical studies to determine the extent of its long-hailed health benefits. There is now some strong evidence suggesting regular green tea drinkers may have lower chances of heart disease and some forms of cancer.
Green Tea also has some great benefits for people with acne and can help to lower your blood pressure and weight loss. There is a long list of green tea health benefits, it is the closest thing to a magic genie in a lamp (or at least a lamp shaped teapot).
